YESL together with the Zonel Education Office in Batticaloa took the initiative to launch the Junior Achievement / Young Entrepreneurs Sri Lanka High School Programme recently.
The JA/YESL has been approved by Ministry of Education and with the corporation and coordination of the Zonel Education Director Mr. A. M. E. Paul the programme was introduced to the following schools in Batticaloa.
• St. Vincent’s High School
• St. Michael’s College
• Vivekhananda Girls Maha Vidyalaya
Ms. Dayani Edirisinghe, Chief Operating Officer and Mr. O. K. B. Gunasekara, Manager – Operations who introduced the programme said that they found a very good response from the children in this area. The High School Company programme, which teaches the students to operate a true-to-life company was selected by the school authorities.
The education officers, principals, teachers and the students were very eager to proceed with the programme in more schools in the province. |
